The Axis Bank KMRL Kochi1 Card is India's inaugural prepaid transit card, providing an integrated single wallet that facilitates seamless payments at retail outlets. How to get Kochi Metro NCMC Kochi 1 Card?

The Axis Bank KMRL Kochi1 Card can be purchased at the KMRL issuance counters and select Axis Bank branches [Rajaji Road (Main Branch), Aluva, Kalamaserry, Edapally, Palarivattom, Kaloor, Banerjee Road, Ravipuram].

The following documents are required to be submitted for purchasing a Kochi1 Card with an upgraded Full-KYC limit of INR 20,000 :

  • Passport size colour Photograph
  • Self-attested copy of PAN Card or Form 60
  • Self-attested any of the below given documents:

    • Passport
    • Driving License
    • Voters ID card
    • Job card by NREGA-ID

The documents will have to be sumitted along with completely filled Full-KYC application form at the following centres:

  • KMRL stations : Aluva, Cusat, Edapally, Kaloor, MG road, Maharaja's Ground, Ernakulam South, Kadavanthara, Vyttila, Thykodam
  • Axis Bank branches : Rajaji Road (Main Branch), Aluva, Kalamaserry, Edapally, Palarivattom, Kaloor, Banerjee Road, Ravipuram
Minimum & Maximum Recharge Amount in NCMC Card

Minimum Top-up / Recharge Amount

The minimum amount limit for topping-up or reloading the Axis Bank KMRL Kochi1 Card is Rs.100. Please note that Rs.12 will be charged for each reload made through any of the top-up/reload channels, so it is advisable to top-up/reload your card with sufficient balance.

Maximum Top-up / Recharge Amount

The maximum balance on the Card is Rs.5,000 for minimum-KYC. For an increase in limit, from Rs.5,000 to Rs.20,000, full KYC documentation would be taken of the customer.

Travel Discount

Kochi Metro given a 20% discount on every single journey made by the passenger on Axis Bank KMRL Kochi1 Card.

Important Instructions of Kochi Metro NCMC Kochi 1 Card
  • Axis Bank KMRL Kochi1 card is valid until the last day of the month of the year indicated on the card.
  • If your card is nearing its expiry date, then you can visit the KMRL issuance counter and get a new card (with new number).
  • The balance amount on your card will be transferred to the new card in 5 working days.
  • You can renew your pass at any of the following: (1) At KMRL Issuance counter: Pay cash to renew your pass. (2) In KMRL metro: The pass can be renewed at the handheld terminal of the KMRL conductor, subject to required balance available on the card.
  • The Axis Bank KMRL Kochi1 Card is can be used for transit as well as for regular payments at merchant outlets.
  • The Card can be used in private buses in Kochi as well as at RuPay enabled merchant outlets to make purchases like any debit or credit card but further charges apply on this card.
