Shaurya Smarak is a modern national war memorial located at Arera Hills in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is dedicated to the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives for the country. The memorial was planned by the Government of Madhya Pradesh and was inaugurated in 2016. Spread across nearly 12 acres (around 4.9 hectares), Shaurya Smarak serves as a place for remembrance, public awareness, and patriotic reflection. The site features a tall central obelisk, engraved names of martyrs, well-designed landscaped areas, and ceremonial spaces. Together, these elements symbolize bravery, sacrifice, and national unity, making it a prominent cultural and tourism landmark in Bhopal.

Shaurya Smarak follows a modern monumental architectural style that combines symbolic design with open public spaces. Developed in the early 21st century under the Madhya Pradesh state government, the memorial was completed in 2016. The design focuses on straight alignment, clear visual focus points, and planned movement, with a tall central structure acting as the main landmark. It is built using reinforced concrete, stone cladding, and metal elements, ensuring strength while maintaining a calm and respectful appearance.
