Indira Gandhi National Museum of Humans, covering an area of about 200 acres of undulating terrain on the Shamla Hills, is one of the largest and premier anthropological museums in India. The purpose of the museum is to display the history of the development of man and culture with special reference to India. It provides an opportunity to explore the subtlest sensibilities of the rich Indian culture and heritage through its fascinating exhibitions.
