The structure work of Bhopal Metro is going on at a very fast pace. Work on 5 stations from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS has been completed, while work on DRMA Alkapuri and AIIMS metro stations is in the final stages. Whereas, as soon as the work of three stations is completed, Madhya Pradesh Metro Company will send a letter to the CMRS team of the Railways. Two steel bridges for Bhopal Metro have been completed in Alwar, Rajasthan. Most of their major ports have been reached. These bridges have been designed like Delhi Metro. Whose total length will be 103 meters. If Metro Corporation officials are to be believed, the work will start in January after the approval from Railways. A bridge will pass over the railway track, which will be built at the DRM office intersection.

The trial run of Bhopal Metro is to be held in the last week of this month, for which the first rake of Metro will leave from Savli in Gujarat on 6th September. The first metro train for the Bhopal-Indore Metro project was handed over by Alstom to Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (MPMRCL) on August 31. The train will be sent to Indore and is expected to be operational by April 2024. A mock-up car was unveiled by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on August 26 at the Smart City Park in Bhopal. The second train is expected to reach Bhopal by September 20.
Before the trial run of Bhopal Metro, a trolley run was done on the track on Saturday, in which the Bhopal Metro track has passed, that is, the track is ready for the trial run of Metro. This trolley run was done between Subhash Nagar to Rani Kamlapati Railway Station (RKMP). Actually one month is left for the trial run of Metro.
A review meeting was held on Monday regarding the progress of construction works in view of the target of Metro trial run of the priority corridor. 56 days are to go before the proposed trial run of Bhopal Metro in the 4-km long priority corridor. Coaches are set to arrive in August and main concern remains the construction work at metro depot at Subhash Nagar.
Metro is to be operated in the 14 kilometer elevated route from Ratnagiri Tiroh to Bhadbhada square in the capital. In this, Rs 1122 crore will be spent on elevated corridors, 13 metro stations, rolling stock and other construction works. This project will be completed by the year 2026.
