Yellow Line History, Facts & Expansion

Yellow Line is an under construction metro rail line of Indore Metro, which is part of Indore Metro.
There are 29 metro stations in this line from Gandhi Nagar to the airport, the total distance of which is 33.53 km.
However the priority section from Gandhi Nagar to Radisson Square is under construction with a distance of 16.21 km and is expected to be commissioned in March 2024.
The corridor comprises a total of 30 stations, of which six will be underground from Kothari Bazaar to the airport, while the remaining 24 stations will be above ground.

There are 29 metro stations in this line from Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Terminal to Airport, the total distance of which is 33.53 km.
However the priority section from Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Terminal to Veerangana Jhalkari Bai Station is in service with a distance of 5.9 km from 31 May 2025.
The corridor comprises a total of 29 stations, of which six will be underground from Rajwada to the Airport, while the remaining 24 stations will be elevated metro station.

Indore Metro Yellow Line Extension

The Yellow Line of the Indore Metro is the city's first major ring corridor, spanning 33.53 kilometers and connecting key areas including the airport, railway station, Rajwada, and Gandhi Nagar. The line will have 29 stations and is designed to improve connectivity across Indore. The priority section began operations in May 2025, while the corridor is expected to be fully completed by 2030.
