Meerut Metro is an urban mass rapid transit system (MRTS) under construction in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

The DPR (Detailed Project Report) of Meerut Metro Phase 1 was prepared by RITES and submitted to the UP state government on 30 June 2016 for its approval. In 2017, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (then Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation) was assigned the role of 'coordinator' to bring all the stakeholders together and start the project.

The 20 km long Line-1 of the project with 11 stations is under construction and will use the infrastructure of the 82.15 km long Delhi-Meerut RRTS line being built by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). It will include 8 special metro-only stations and 30 coaches will be supplied by Alstom (Bombardier) to service the line in a configuration of 10 trains with 3 cars each.

The 15 km Line-2 of the project with 14 stations is in the proposal stage, and will be constructed and operated by Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRCL).
