Meerut Metro Green Line Overview

The Green Line represents Meerut Metro's proposed second corridor, planned from Shraddhapuri Phase II to Jagriti Vihar. It is about 15 km long with 12 stations, including around 10.7 km elevated and 4.3 km underground. The proposal is awaiting a new detailed project report before approval, and no construction has started. It would complement Line 1, which opened in February 2026. Green Line History, Facts & Expansion

The Green Line refers to Meerut Metro's proposed second corridor, from Shraddhapuri Phase II to Jagriti Vihar.
It is planned to be about 15 km long with 12 stations: 7 elevated and 5 underground.
About 10.7 km would be elevated and 4.3 km underground.
The proposal is awaiting approval for a new detailed project report.
It would complement Line 1 (Meerut South-Modipuram), which opened on 22 February 2026.
Line 2 would serve western and southern parts of Meerut.
It would interchange with Line 1.
NCRTC/UP government must approve the new DPR.
No funding has been sanctioned.
