- The Meerut Metro Red Line is part of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).
- It is a partially operational and under-construction semi-high-speed rail corridor.
- The line will connect the National Capital Region (NCR) cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut.
- The project is managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).
- The journey time between Delhi and Meerut will be less than 60 minutes.
- The project cost ₹30,274 crore (approximately US$3.8 billion).
- The Delhi-Meerut RRTS Priority Corridor was opened on 20 October 2023.
