The Purple Line refers to the proposed Line 3 of Guwahati Metro, planned from Jalukbari in the west to Khanapara in the east across about 19.4 km with 14 stations. It would serve the Gauhati University area, Guwahati railway station surroundings, Ganeshguri and Khanapara. Part of the stalled 61.4 km Phase 1 plan, it has not been sanctioned and no construction has started.
