Bhoj Metro Blue Line Overview

The Blue Line is Bhopal Metro's second Phase 1 corridor, planned from Bhadbhada Square to Ratnagiri Tiraha across about 14 km. It will serve areas such as Roshanpura, Polytechnic Square, Lalghati and the BHEL area in the east, and cross the Orange Line in central Bhopal. Civil construction under the BH-05 package is in progress, and no section has opened yet. Blue Line History, Facts & Expansion

The Blue Line is part of Bhopal Metro Phase 1, along with the Orange Line.
It is planned from Bhadbhada Square to Ratnagiri Tiraha, about 14 km long.
Its main civil package, BH-05, covers an elevated viaduct and 13 stations.
Seven firms bid for the civil package in October 2023, and construction is in progress.
The line will interchange with the Orange Line in central Bhopal.
No section was open as of October 2026.
Trains for the Blue Line will share the Alstom Movia fleet and depot with the Orange Line.
The line will serve Bhadbhada, Roshanpura, Polytechnic Square and Ratnagiri.
BHEL area is one of the largest industrial townships served.
It is funded under Bhopal Metro Phase 1.
