Bhoj Metro Orange Line Overview
The Orange Line is Bhopal Metro's first operational corridor. Its priority section of about 6-7 km from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS, with 8 elevated stations including Rani Kamlapati station, M.P. Orange Line History, Facts & Expansion
- The Orange Line is planned from Karond Chauraha to AIIMS Bhopal, about 15 km long with 16 stations.
- The priority corridor from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS opened in December 2025 with 8 elevated stations.
- Operational stations include AIIMS, Alkapuri, DRM Office, Rani Kamlapati, M.P. Nagar, Board Office Square, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Subhash Nagar.
- Bhopal became the second city in Madhya Pradesh, after Indore, to get metro service.
- The metro is operated by Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL).
- Phase 1 of Bhopal Metro, including the Orange and Blue lines, covers about 30 km.
- Trains are 3-coach Alstom Movia sets.
- Rani Kamlapati station serves Bhopal's redeveloped world-class railway station.
