Rapid Metro Line 1 Extension Plan
The Rapid Metro Line 1 extension will cover a total distance of 28.5 km and will include 27 elevated stations. The project is estimated to cost ₹5,452 crore and construction is expected to begin by May 1, 2025. The extension will start from the Millennium City Centre metro station and move towards Cyber City, passing through major areas like old Gurgaon. The project is being executed by Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL), a special purpose vehicle set up by the Haryana government.

Residents of New Gurugram and the Dwarka Expressway sector, in a meeting with Gurugram MP and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Rao Inderjit Singh, have emphasized the need to expedite the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro line to Gurugram and also requested a direct bus service connecting the city with Yashobhoomi in Delhi's Dwarka Sector 24.
