Pune Metro Red Line Overview

Pune Metro Line 3 is an elevated corridor of about 23.3 km from Maan (Megapolis Circle) in Hinjewadi to District Court in Shivajinagar, with 23 stations. Built under a public-private partnership by PMRDA, it will link the Hinjewadi IT park with Balewadi, Baner and University Circle. Red Line History, Facts & Expansion

Line 3 runs from Maan (Megapolis Circle), Hinjewadi to District Court, Shivajinagar.
It is about 23.3 km long and fully elevated, with 23 stations.
The project is implemented by PMRDA on a public-private partnership basis with Pune IT City Metro Rail, and will be operated by Keolis.
The estimated project cost is about Rs 8,313 crore.
The first phase, Maan to Balewadi (12 stations), received safety approval for passenger operations and is expected to open in late 2026.
The Balewadi-District Court section is targeted around March 2027.
District Court will be the interchange with the Purple and Aqua lines.
Line 3 is Pune's first metro line built under PPP.
It will serve Hinjewadi IT Park phases.
Its depot is near Maan.
The project is implemented through Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited, a Tata-Siemens consortium SPV.
