Another controversial video of IAS officer Pooja Khedkar's mother has surfaced, in which she is seen arguing with Pune Metro officials and police personnel over construction material being kept near her bungalow. The video, which dates back to 2022, was shot outside the Khedkar family's bungalow on Baner Road in Pune. The construction of the Pune Metro line between Shivaji Nagar and Hinjewadi was underway at the time, so workers had kept equipment on the pavement near Khedkar's bungalow.

Pune Metro's ridership has increased after the completion of the section from Ruby Hall to Ramwadi. According to data provided by the metro company, Pune Metro currently records around 90,000 ridership on weekends. With an impressive increase of around 9 lakh passengers from January to May, Pune Metro's average daily footfall is currently over 80,000.

Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority has decided to lease prime land located in Shivajinagar near the old Pune-Mumbai Highway to raise funds for Pune Metro Line 3 (Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar). The state government has provided land instead of direct financial assistance. PMRDA has estimated the base price of this land at Rs 396.50 crore.

As the number of people riding the Pune Metro has increased, so has the number of passengers travelling without a valid ticket. So much so that over the past five months, the Pune Metro has taken action against 1,764 commuters for travelling without a proper ticket, according to the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro). Most of these incidents have occurred at the Ruby Hall, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Civil Court metro stations.

According to News 18 report, the construction work of Pune Metro Line 2, from Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi has ended. Now Line 2 of Pune Metro is ready to start operations. PM Modi visits the city for the inauguration ceremony. Expected to do. However, the official confirmation is yet to be released by the PMO. The 16 km stretch will start from Vanaz, for which the concerned management and officials are keeping an eye on its final inspection, and requesting minor changes before giving the final approval to run it.
