Pune Aqua Line Metro Route, Stations List, Map & Timings

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the expansion of the Pune Metro Rail Project under Phase 2. The approved project includes the construction of Line 4 and its associated spur Line 4A. The approved Line 4 is 25.52 km long and connects Kharadi to Khadakwasla via Hadapsar and Swargate through 22 elevated stations. Spur Line 4A will cover an additional 6.12 km between Nal Stop and Warje-Manik Baug, with six elevated stations. In total, the two corridors will be 31.64 km long and have 28 stations.

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved an investment of Rs 9,857.85 crore for the Pune Metro Phase 2 project, which will add 31.64 km of new corridors across two lines with 28 elevated stations. Lines 4 and 4A in Pune Metro Phase 2 will take the city's approved metro rail network beyond 100 km, and connect major IT hubs, commercial areas, educational institutions and dense residential areas in east, south and west Pune.

With an aim to expedite the work on Pune's Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line-3, the Maharashtra government has approved the permanent transfer of 48,600 square metres of land in Yerwada to the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).

The city is set to create history with the Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited (PITCMRL) being awarded a 10-year operating contract under which every metro train on the Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar corridor will be operated exclusively by women.

Colossus Infra Projects has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Maha-Metro (Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited) to provide train operation and station control services for the Pune Metro Rail Project. The financial bids were opened on 7 November 2024, while the financial evaluation took place on 8 September 2025, which revealed that Colossus Infra Projects is the lowest bidder for this contract. On 9 September 2025, Colossus Infra Projects received the LoA from Maha-Metro for this contract.
