Buddha Jayanti Park is located near Ridge Road in the heart of New Delhi. The park was established on April 25, 1966 to celebrate the 2,500th anniversary of Buddha's enlightenment. The creation of the park was a joint effort between the Government of India and the Indian Buddhist Society.
