Delhi Art Gallery's Beginnings India's most respected art company began its journey not as an art gallery but as an art institution, curating an impressive catalog of works by Indian artists of the late nineteenth century. By acquiring artists' studios and estates, it paid tribute to their legacies and produced a large body of twentieth-century artists and artworks that, together, serve to provide a historical overview of art and document relations with India We do.
