The Orange Line (Line 6), or New Garia-Airport Metro, will run about 32 km along the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass from Kavi Subhash (New Garia) to Kolkata Airport. Its operational section now covers about 9.9 km and 9 stations from Kavi Subhash to Beleghata, serving Mukundapur, Ruby Hospital area and Science City. - The Orange Line, Line 6, is planned from Kavi Subhash (New Garia) to Jai Hind Bimanbandar (Kolkata Airport).
- The full corridor will be about 32 km long with 24 stations, all elevated.
- The first section, Kavi Subhash-Hemanta Mukhopadhyay (Ruby), opened on 6 March 2024.
- The extension from Hemanta Mukhopadhyay to Beleghata opened on 22 August 2025.
- The operational section is about 9.9 km long with 9 stations.
- Kavi Subhash will be an interchange with the Blue Line once its rebuilt station reopens.
- The line runs along the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass.
