- The total length of Kolkata Metro Line 6 is approximately 31.36 kilometers.

Metro Railway Kolkata has launched a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on the underground portion of its Blue Line. The move is aimed at improving energy efficiency and ensuring commuter safety during unexpected power outages.
Metro Railway Kolkata has invited bids for a major infrastructure modernization project costing ₹345.76 crore. The first phase of the project will include replacement and upgrade of equipment at 750V DC traction substations, replacement and upgrade of third rail and power cables, and upgrade of 11 kV auxiliary substations to 33 kV auxiliary substations.
