Kolkata Metro will operate four special services (two up and two down) on the Blue Line for SET candidates on December 15. The first two special services will depart from Kavi Subhash station at 08:00 am and 08:30 am towards Dakshineswar.

The Metro Railway has announced that from December 10, passengers travelling in the Kolkata Metro after 10:40 pm will have to pay an extra fare of Rs 10. Passengers who earlier paid a fare of ₹5 for just one stop or a minimum distance of 2 km will now have to pay ₹15. Similarly, those who earlier paid a fare of ₹25 will now have to shell out ₹35. This change applies to the Dum Dum-New Garia section of the North-South Corridor, where the 'Night Special' service is operational from May 24, 2024.

Services on Howrah Maidan-Esplanade stretch to be rescheduled from Monday. From the 11 November metro services in the west-bound tunnel will operate between Howrah Maidan and Mahakaran stations. This change will apply during working hours on weekdays, from 6:55 am to 10 pm On Sundays, metro services in the east-bound tunnel will run from 2:15 pm to 9:50 pm, as per the revised schedule.
