About Annapurna Temple
Maa Annapurna Temple located in Indore is considered to be one of the most famous and old temples. This temple was built in 1959 by Mahamandaleshwar Swami Prabanandagirimaraj. The temple is dedicated to Annapurna, the goddess of food, and houses idols of Sivan, Hanuman and Kalabhairava. It also has a 14.5 feet high idol of Lord Shiva in lotus position.
The architectural grandeur is reminiscent of the famous Meenakshi Temple, the grand entrance is adorned with four life-size statues of elephants with intricate carvings.
Architecture of Annapurna Temple
Annapurna Temple spread over 2 acres, it is a beautiful example of the magnificent amalgamation of Aryan and Dravidian architecture. The height of Annapurna Temple is more than 100 feet. The main entrance of the temple is constructed according to the South Indian architecture on the backs of four big elephants. Inside the Annapurna Temple, you will see the idol of Maa Annapurna glowing with Maa Kali and Maa Saraswati.

- Inside the premises of the temple, idols of various deities like Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman and Kalabhairava are also installed.
