Mehrauli Archaeological Park is an archaeological area spread over 200 acres near Qutub Minar in Delhi, India. It includes more than 100 historically important monuments. It is the only area of Delhi known to have been continuously occupied for 1,000 years, and also contains the ruins of the Lal Kot which was built by the Tomar Rajputs in 1060 CE. Thus it is the oldest fort in Delhi and an important architectural remnant of the Lodhi Dynasty, Khilji Dynasty, Tughlaq Dynasty, Mughal Empire, Delhi Sultanate and the British Raj. One of the highest cultural highlights in Delhi, this park is home to the old tombs of many important historical figures including Balban, Quli Khan and the Sufi poet Jamali. The archaeological park is also famous for housing the stepwell, 'Rajo Ki Baoli'.
