- Mumbai Monorail Line 1 is the first monorail system to be operational for public use in India.
- Line 1 was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on 1 February 2014 at the Wadala Depot Monorail Station.
- The line runs between Wadala Depot and Chembur in Mumbai, covering a distance of 8.9 kilometres.
- Each monorail train has 4 coaches with a total passenger capacity of 568 passengers.
- The project is operated by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
