The Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited (RMRC) has received bids from 13 firms for the first civil contract of Jaipur Metro Phase 2. In October 2025, RMRC had issued a tender for this contract worth Rs 1145.14 crore and it falls under package NCB: 2C-01.
◷ 2026-01-12 | ☍ Metro Rail NewsLine 2 of the Jaipur Metro is set to significantly improve connectivity to the city's airport, with plans to provide direct underground passage from the Airport Metro Station to all passenger terminals. Following recent consultations between the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) and airport authorities, it was confirmed that passengers will be able to travel between the metro station and the three terminals via dedicated tunnels and supported shuttle services. Jaipur Airport, which currently operates with two terminal buildings, will have a third addition when Line 2 becomes operational.
