Patna Metro Red Line Overview

The Red Line, Corridor 1 of Patna Metro, is an under-construction East-West corridor of about 17 km from Danapur Cantonment to Khemnichak with 14 stations. It will run along Bailey Road and through central Patna, with 6 underground stations including Patna Zoo, Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan and Patna Junction. It will interchange with the Blue Line at Patna Junction and Khemnichak. Red Line History, Facts & Expansion

The Red Line is Corridor 1 of Patna Metro, from Danapur Cantonment to Khemnichak.
It is planned to be about 17 km long with 14 stations: 8 elevated and 6 underground.
Underground stations include Rukanpura, Raja Bazar, Patna Zoo, Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan and Patna Junction.
It will interchange with the Blue Line at Patna Junction and Khemnichak.
The project is implemented by Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL).
Sections of the line are targeted to open between 2026 and 2027.
Patna Metro's total Phase 1 cost is over Rs 13,000 crore.
The depot is at Bairiya near the New ISBT.
The line will run under Bailey Road and the city centre.
Patna is Bihar's first city with metro service.
