The ISKCON temple is another attraction in Kanpur and is devoted to Lord Krishna, the Hindu God worshipped all over the world. Massacre Ghat, Kanpur
Massacre Ghat is a wonderful place and people in huge number throng this place with family and friends. Found in close proximity to Jajmau on the banks of River Ganga, the Ghat is on the northern part of Kanpur. Formerly known as the Nana Rao Ghat, it is also known as the Sati Ghat because the most objectionable Sati ritual was performed over here. The Massacre Ghat is an important maritime transmit between Allahabad and Kanpur. This green space all around the Massacre Ghat has a sandpit close by which is a place of practice for the local wrestlers. Every year a wrestling competition takes place here between the months of July and August.
