There are three metro stations on the Purple Line of Bangalore Metro that are connected to Indian Railways:-

  • Kempegowda Majestic- Near KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station
  • Baiyappanahalli- Near Baiyappanahalli Railway Station
  • Whitefield (Kadugodi)- Near Whitefield Railway Station

No, you cannot go directly to Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL) by taking the Purple Line of Namma Metro. However, you can take the Purple Line to Krishnarajapuram (KR Puram) metro station and then board the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) Airport Shuttle Bus (KIA series) to reach the airport.

In the future, the Purple Metro will be extended eastwards to Hosakote in Bengaluru Rural district and westwards to Bidadi in Ramanagara district.

To change from Purple Line to Green Line in Bangalore, go to Majestic (Nadaprabhu Kempegowda) Metro Station, which is the only interchange between the two lines.
