On the Yellow Line of the Bangalore Metro, the Bommasandra (Delta Electronics) station is connected to the Heelalige railway station of Indian Railways, which provides suburban and regional train services.

Currently, the Yellow Line does not provide a direct connection to Kempegowda International Airport. However, once the Blue Line (under construction) is completed, passengers can interchange at Central Silk Board station and reach the airport via the upcoming metro corridor.

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), in collaboration with Aarvi Engineering Consultants, submitted the detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed Tumakuru Metro corridor to the Karnataka government on May 23. The DPR proposes a 60-kilometer metro corridor from Madavara (BIEC) to Tumakuru via Nelamangala, Dabaspet, and Kyathasandra. The proposed corridor will have 16 stations, an estimated travel time of 59 minutes, and an estimated cost of approximately ₹19,700 crore under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.
