Mumbai Metro Line 14, the Magenta Line, is a proposed corridor of about 45 km from Kanjurmarg/Vikhroli to Badlapur, with around 40 stations. It will cross Thane Creek to Ghansoli in Navi Mumbai and continue through Mahape, Shil Phata and Ambernath. The route combines underground, elevated and at-grade sections. Its detailed project report has been submitted, and construction timelines are yet to be fixed. Magenta Line History, Facts & Expansion
- Line 14 is planned from Kanjurmarg/Vikhroli (EEH) to Badlapur.
- It is proposed to be about 45 km long with around 40 stations.
- The route is planned to go underground from Kanjurmarg to Ghansoli, crossing Thane Creek, and then continue mainly elevated or at grade towards Badlapur.
- It will link the eastern suburbs of Mumbai with Navi Mumbai, Ambernath and Badlapur.
- The detailed project report has been submitted, and the project awaits approvals.
- It will interchange with Lines 4 and 6 near Kanjurmarg/Vikhroli.
