Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi on July 12, due to which Delhi Metro trains were halted for 2-3 minutes as a precaution. People reported that they felt the ground shaking. Trains stopped around 9.04-9.05 am. The epicentre of the earthquake was in Haryana's Jhajjar district, where its magnitude was measured at 4.4.
◷ 2025-07-11 | ☍ NDTVPassenger Information Display System (PIDS) of 75 old metro trains running on Delhi Metro's Red Line (Rithala-Shaheed Sthal New Bus Add Ghaziabad) and Blue Line (Dwarka Sector 21-Noida Electronic City/Vaishali) are being replaced with state-of-the-art LCD based display systems. In Metro Phase 4, operations may begin in July on about four and a half kilometer section (from Majlis Park to Jagatpur village) of the 13.39 kilometer long corridor being built between Mukundpur and Maujpur. The Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMRS) has approved it. There are three metro stations on this section. The remaining half section may have to wait till the end of the year.

Under this change, trains will run from Brigadier Hoshiar Singh to Kirti Nagar on one loop of the Green Line and metro trains will run from Mundka to Indralok on the other loop. Delhi Metro said that this new change is for Monday to Friday, while on Saturday and Sunday the services will continue as before.
